I hear you-I think the Hatton Tszyu fight was 3 or 4 am your time? Hey MMA is probably the worst thing for boxing. Man in the late 80's early to mid 90s, you had a REAL heavyweight division-Mike, Holy, Bowe, Holmes, Spinks, Lewis, Bruno, even Golota-also up and coming stars in lower weight classes- it really was an exciting time. Now you got DLH, who has one more fight left in him, the best fighter in the world (PBF) is an arrogant a$$hole who just retired at 31 years old, what superstar is left? Manny Pacquiao is all I can think of. Your guys Joe and Ricky, they're near the end of their careers. One of my faves who Calzaghe dismantled, Jeff Lacy announced his retirement @ 31 years old yesterday---what the hell is going on? I'll get off my sopabox--on a sidenote, I'm watching Sportscenter as I'm typing this. This fight 'The Battle' was billed as biggest fight of the summer, maybe year. They gave it a whole 25 seconds |
