Can't get my pics to load off my phone, but this is the one I got, only I got it for $80 new at the store! Has 4 compartments and the top magnets down. I think it will be a perfect carry on luggage too since my other bags are too large to carry on anymore. The luggage restrictions are ridiculous now days

Averaged 16mph on my Trek with 48oz of Heineken, my wallet and roughly 3lbs of steel and lead. I'm quite happy with it. Its stylish, rugged, lightweight and even has a pouch for a water bottle on the side! Or another beer.

Victorinox is the maker of the original Swiss army knife, while I was disappointed it was made in chine, I still think its plenty rugged enough to hunt some zombies

I really appreciate all the input. I kinda just jumped into the victorinox today, seems great for everyday. But you guys are showing me what I really want, just going to need a bigger budget for the next one.

Yep - it's sturdy! The "pain brûlé" (literally burnt toast) leather is particularly nice in person - ages with a cool pull-up effect.

I tried a similar LV messenger bag and it did not suit my taste or style but was incredibly well made and super classy IMO. I am more of a Polo button down or golf shirt with khakis and loafers or boats shoes guy so it just didn't work for me. Seemed to formal for my style but I did not think it was unmanly.

I bought it for myself so just moved it to a co worker. I can tell you it was easy to move as several people at work wanted it.

Being yours was a gift from the wife your options may be more limited...

Funny, I am mostly a casual dresser like you. I am just having a small issue with how obvious it is. I am not a fan of being obvious with what I use at work.

Watches seem to be OK as no one really knows that much about them making it easier to go under the radar.

Otherwise, I like the bag very much. I need to get on with it and use it before she gets upset with me!

@Flstfirider: I had a briefcase made from leather like that. It was called "belting leather," I think. From the time when machines in factories were driven by leather belts. It was hard and heavy. With age, it showed wear, like yours, but not in the way that you might want. I was a little disappointed, even though it was indestructible.

Crazy when you think about it that anyone would imagine that men don't have a need for a bag. I have used a light nylon Nike bag for a decade because all I need to carry is sunglasses, keys, phone and sometimes some paperwork.
The thing I like best about a bag is that your stuff is all in the one place instead of ending up distributed in the car, your person, and places you've been during the day.
I never misplace anything.

I have a nylon backpack that my son bought me a few years ago while he was in high school. I appreciated the gesture but I can also appreciate that I should probably carry something nicer. The problem is that the backpack fits so perfectly onto the motorcycle luggage rack with the shoulder straps crisscrossed around the passenger backrest.
I wonder if any of these bags could be so easily adapted to motorcycle travel.

I often use a Billingham Hadley Pro sans the padded camera insert. Leica Aficionados will know this bag. Comes in several colour schemes and is understated (but looks good), tough, and water resistant. Best of all it's light.
