Icon20 Watches on board

Hi guys:
I just got backfrom a 2 week Pacific cruise. First few days was rough! Cyclone 'Wati' waves up to deck 9 yeee haaar!

I spotted the following watches worn on board this ship.
Chief Engineer: Breitling Sea Wolf (admitted it was a fake he bought in Turkey) Look like a real one! Told me he thought the real ones weren't worth the money.

The Captain: Rolex Daytona SS white dial. Told me he bought it 11 years ago in Akaska. (These guys get around) Very attached to it and said he would never have any other watch! Never been serviced and still going well.
Casino Manager: Franc Muller (Automatic)
Casino Croupier: Cartier Santos (Automatic)

Passengers: I could not spot anyone with a Swiss Movement watch!

The ship's duty free watch area had the usual quartz movement rubbish with Seiko being the best they had. The girl (aged about 24yrs with cleavage JJ!) said she thought that Rolex were not making watches anymore because the factory had closed down. XXXXst! can you believe it?

Saw a Rolex gents and ladies range in a little Chinese shop up an alley in Vila, Vanuatu. They looked kosher, but.........

I'm glad to be home!!!!!!!

Great to have you back, Steve...but you sure you were on a cruiser and not a fisherman's junkie?

I mean a Chief Engineer with an annual salary that would blow most of ours into oblivion wearing a fake and thinking the real ones weren't worth the money!! What a prick!!!

And Miss Cleavage thinking Rollies were out of production...well, all I can say is you were the RIGHT guy on the WRONG boat!!

Now aren't you glad to be back on terra firma?

Thanks CJ & JJ, yes I'm glad to be back on Terra Firma. The Firma the better!!!!!

The ship was 20,000 tons of P & O liner crewed by a European mix. The Captain was a top of the line nice guy from Genoa. The Chief Engineer was from E.Europe. Miss cleavage stated she grew up in Wainuiomata near Wellington. You work it out.

BTW
My beautiful GMT master was never off my wrist and I wore it swimming in Fijian waters, Isle of Pines and Pentecost Islands. I've jusy checked it with Time Ticker and it's gained less than 30 seconds since I set it on March 1. A clear indication that Rolex are superb timepieces.
