We have Henkels. Nice looking set,but wifey who is a great cook hates them because they need to be sharpened constantly.
Any recommendations for something that maintains a sharp edge? |

Spare bedroom closet has turned into storage area for cutting boards. Have some food grade plastic boards from there as well. Great boards for fish cleaning at the dock. They also have the hardboard thin boards as well, which we use a lot because they are easy to store and light. They sell thru Crate and Barrel and other retailers as well. I have seen them. They look pretty cool. But it was at the retail prices and I passed. I do however love the HDP boards for meat as they can be sanitized with bleach cleaners. I need to try to find a picture of the old butcher block I bought from this place a few years back. About 3' X 3' X 2' thick. Was about 100 years old and was well used. Pulled out of a local butcher shop that was getting torn down. Refinished the base and used in our kitchen. Had to leave with the house when we moved though. It was incredible.
