Hence facts wil be presented as they want you to see them.
My opinion is they are guilty.
That said, were there issues like moving trial venue but still using the same jury pool from county you moved from? Yeah, that was not right, along with press conference that probably tainted the jury pool.
Could they have gotten off as not guilty? Perhaps reasonable doubt could have been established for a jury to contend with but that does not change the fact they still did it. OJ anyone?
Curious how you think both are guilty.. do you realize that both can't be guilty at sametime?

***SPOILERS***
Steve - was charged based on the fact that Teresa was murdered in the garage and bullet was found. No, DNA even digging the cracked concrete, no fingerprints, nothing... just 1 burnt out bullet(which is the most easiest thing to plant) and they said, she wasn't even murdered in the trailer as they would have just too much blood and impossible to clean.

Brendan - was charged based on the fact that he raped and killed Teresa in the trailer and slit her throat.

Now, how can both be correct? You find that convincing? What is the proof about Brenden except his confession? How can a 16 year high school student can be so proficient in cleaning all the DNA, fingerprints from the whole scene, I repeat whole scene of trailer, garage everywhere and still nothing found on him which is impossible for even a highly trained expert to wipe the DNA.

Well, I can't think for a life how that is possible. But looks like some folks believe Brenden is guilty and infact jury did the same, so I shouldn't be surprised, I guess!

To add more points..

***SPOILERS***

Steve Avery's charges
1) 1st degree intentional homicide - GUILTY (murdered with gun in garage)
2) Mutilation of a corpse - NOT GUILTY
3) Illegally possessing a firearm. - GUILTY

Brendan Dassey's charges
1) 1st degree intentional homicide - GUILTY (murdered with knife in bedroom)
2) Mutilation of a corpse - GUILTY
3) 1st degree sexual assault - GUILTY

So, Avery didn't mutilate the corpse and it was suggested the body was burnt somewhere else and brought at his burn pit but whereas Brendan is convicted of the mutilation.

How can Brendan be convicted of all the charges assigned to him without any physical evidence in this age and day? Just based on the confessions? Man!!!

I live 45 miles from Fargo. The Fargo Forum newspaper carried an interesting article this week about three reporters who covered the events. They point out that the producers of the documentary chose to leave out a significant number of facts regarding DNA, clothing fragments and even bone fragments of the second victim found in a fire pit just outside of Avery's property.

My guess is that the facts were ignored to make the "documentary" more compelling and more likely to inspire conversations like this one on RC. Every series like this shows a bias on the part of producers.

So she was burned outside the property? Then they burned her in the burn barrel and finally Dumped her remains in Averys backyard burn pit?... Seems legit

It's not an avenue at all, since the President doesn't have the power to pardon anyone except those convicted of a Federal crime, which Avery was not. This is what I mean. Those coming up with and signing a petition for Obama to do something about it don't even know and (worse) can't even be bothered to check who the right person to petition is. That's just being intellectually lazy and jumping due to emotions, but this is, after all, the result those who produce propaganda seek.

You're kidding right? Like the film makers admitted, they didn't film or make a point of every piece of evidence because nobody is going to watch a 60 hour documentary

I have yet to see any evidence that wasn't mentioned in the documentary that would be the nail in the coffin for Avrey but what anyone with a clear mind saw in the series is that there is enough evidence to put reasonable doubt in any jurors mind not to mention that there is something wrong the the law enforcement community in that shit hole county.

Making a Murder on Netflix...

It's frustrating to watch.

Shows the interconnectedness of someone's lacking education and the misery of a pathetic legal system.

One thing is for sure, this family and everybody associated with them are really dumb as nails. There is just no nice way of putting it. If there was anything that stood out besides the overt corruptness, it was the overall lack of intelligence.

Acquired taste would imply repeated exposure could make her palatable. Sounds more like torture to me.

I agree 100%. I only watched the 1st episode because I couldn't take it. I found myself not caring about the guilt or innocence of someone who is barely eclipsing a Border Collie in the smarts department and thought it would be best to turn it off instead of allowing those ideas to blossom.

Watched the entire series last weekend. Defiantly believe our judicial system is tainted. Also believe the series is a biased view for Averys side, but the lack of physical evidence really makes me wonder.

The whole situation is disgusting. The police, prosecutors AND judges were criminal in their actions/behavior, and should have been prosecuted and imprisoned. Anyone thinking those two were guilty with the evidence presented (and mishandled), please....dont ever show up for jury duty.

The police's handling of physical evidence and crime scene logs are where we were in about 1980.

Avery should have been found NG on "beyond all reasonable doubt"

Pretty much how I feel. To me based on the evidence or not if I am on a Jury and I suspect Police of planting evidence (as I suspect happened with the car key) I am not voting Guilty even if I 'think' they did it. You simply cannot plant evidence to try and further prove your case. It is despicable.
