I'm loving the non cyclops crystal! Thats pretty much the only reason why my 16610LV got sold, I may track an LV down now and get rid of my DSSD! Thanks for the pics.

Also just curious as to why you have the 16610LV in a 93150 strap on the first pic? I think I prefer the look of the end links to the SEL's, how did you get round the 501b end links and allowing you to remove the strap again?

Well you learn something new every day.

Looks good - glad you got it sorted and exactly how you wanted. (For a pretty fair price too).

Glad you like it. It is a highly sought-after watch. I'm wondering if the modification will hurt the value? But if you never sell it it doesn't matter enjoy.

I'm a purest and prefer the cyclops, but I think your watch looks terrific without it and I really like the green bezel. Very nice watch, well done sir!

Wow didnt know Rolex would accept that, this now looks like a Seadweller with a green bezel!! I much prefer it without the cyclops, thanks for sharing!

This raises some questions aside from Rolex fulfilling the request, which I don't think is all that incredible. (1) why does the card say service 20 march 2013 and the jeweler invoice say 1 May 2013 and (2) why hasn't it been worn? It is neither rare nor special.

If so don't think it's relevant now.
It's relevant if he just wanted to share... or is looking for offers. You know how Rolex collectors go crazy for watches with a good story.

Rolex U.K. Service time? No need to wear it and it's not for sale. Who said it was rare but it's special to me my lad
This is a Rolex forum and those who know Rolex service centres (you may not?)
Know that requests are not fulfilled usually.
