Glashutte Original GG logo

What does GG stand for? Glashutte Germany? Is this brand the poor men version of Lange?

It's a great brand which can't be called the "poor men version of Lange", they cater to different needs, Lange is at PP/AP level, GO is not so high end but you need to have watches at different price levels

The company was founded in 1994. Not much history then.

History shmistory, what counts is not how long they've been around for, but the inventiveness and quality of what they produce!
As for the 'double G' — it's not two Gs, but just the one and its mirror image. It's used on the rotor, most noticeably, as well as the seconds hand for some models.
Regarding being Lange's poorer version — not one bit. Lange's big date uses the antiquated JLC design, whereas GO's is their patented design.
GO also has the best PC implementation, bar none, which existed well before Lange made their superb Zeitwerk.
The two brands may be close to one another in the same town, but they each do their own thing due to having differing philosophies.

May I know if Glashütte Original is at the same level as Breguet, Blancpain, and JLC?

OP, look up the history of companies in Glashutte... That alone should answer most of your questions about the brand and its standing. Also, GO is one of the few watch manufacturers that does date complications the right way.

I would not put Breguet and Blancpain on the level of JLC and Glashutte Original.
