Thanks. I'm glad you brought up the Tudor comment so that I can clarify that I wasn't attempting to be rude at all. I actually like the Black Bay, just calling it what it is. I found irony in someone who owns one being critical of another brand duplicating the same style over and over .

I agree that Tudor is taking the black bay a bit too far, but that still doesn't compare to Panerai's blatant copy of the same design over and over.

In-house movements for the brand are great, but by replacing one thing here and there (marina militaire, the logo, putting the the crown on the other side) just feel gimmicky to me.

The putting things little here and little there part reminds me of the movie "Back to the future" and doc's time machine.

Isn't it all a bit gimmicky? Nobody is diving to depths of the DSSD, or using their Daytona to measure speed intervals in their race car.
I respect your opinion though...Panerai is not a watch for the masses, which is one of the things I like most about it
