Rolex Box Ref Number for 16234 Fluted Bezel datejust Y-Serial??
Can anyone provide some insite onto where I can find the reference number for my model year datejust?
I have a 16234, Y-Serial (2002), WG Fluted Bezel, Jubilee Band, Silver dial w/ Roman. I checked this thread... http://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=74592 And found that 16234 Apr-05 is Ref. 68.00.08. After doing further googling I am finding boxes that say they are for 2002 models but don't match the ref number above and some that do match 68.00.08. There is no one more I trust then the professionals at TRF!!! Any direction you guys can give to finding the correct box would be great. Thanks |

It's not a reference number on boxes, it's a batch number for the production run.
There are probably several production runs that produced the very same box for the era your watch was produced. Rolex watches don't match-up to box batch numbers, they are put in boxes, by the Dealer, based on their size during the era produced.. SS-small, TT-med, PM-large; and there is probably carry-over and mixes depending on how many boxes they had and how many watches they were selling..

Agree with Larry plus the factor that the boxes are made in several parts of the world so would have different box numbers depending where made.
