Would you guys think I'm CRAZY?

Well here I go again! I'm thinking about doing a swap and wanted to bounce it of of y'all. So, I've had the HOTS for the Vacheron Constantin Overseas Chrono black dial for a while but two watches would be getting their walking papers. I'd be flipping my BLNR and a DJII Azurro blue smooth bezel. The BLNR has not had much time since the Daytona arrival and NONE since the YMII showed up. My current collection is the Daytona C white, SS YMII, BLNR, and DJII. What do you guys think? Feel no need to spare my feelings, and YES they would both need to go to do it.....

The VC does nothing for me. Coupled with the fact that you own a superior chronograph, in my opinion, I would not make the trade. I could see parting with the Datejust II to fund something else but that's only because I am not a fan of that particular dial. I think you will come back around to the BLNR. It's really solid well rounded collection you have. Two chronos is a little redundant.

I would not on this deal, but I may be in the minority.

Good luck on what you decide!

Not in ten thousand years for me. I do not get the point at all. However, it is your emotion, your interest and your money obviously. I just don't get the point of asking for someone's opinion on certain matters as it is personal as can be. No wrist time wouldnt be a reason for me to flip a piece, as a watch collector or basicly any1 can only wear one (or two) watches at the time. Just my two cents. Good luck on deciding and all the best.

Don't think you are crazy at all, that VC looks fantastic, you still have 2 Rolex anyway. A bit of variety never hurts

I ask bc I greatly respect the opinions of so many here! Yes it's personal opinion but there is a lot of experience and knowledge here especially with people flipping, collecting, etc. That's why....

That VC is gorgeous. But will it also see wrist time?

If I had any brains when it came to watches, I'd keep the Daytona and sell the rest! But I never claimed to have brains when it comes to watches. But, I do think the VC would get plenty of at-bats.....

I'd keep what you have. I don't see that VC as an upgrade over two Rolex's. If I was thinking of selling those two I would go PM...either Smurf or DD40.

The VC, Daytona, YMII is a nice lineup. All Chrono theme.

I am not fan of the lines on the VC. It looks like arrows or bolts to me. Maybe I will learn to appreciate it more with time.
I wouldn't say no if it were offered to me though!!

Best,

I like that VC. I don't think I would swap 2 for it tho. I might consolidate 2 for a PM day date or something of the like.

I think the VC Overseas is absolutely hideous. It's a quality watch for sure, but it's too 1975 trendy for me. It's a hard pass on deal.

Shame the BLNR doesn't get any wrist time...
It blows the VC away .... So no I wouldn't trade !!!
Plus the VC doesn't even hold a candle to your
Daytina C!!! I'd stick with your current line up .
You might regret the trade after your bored with
the VC and most likely upside down on the trade ... IMHO.

I would not trade. VC Overseas line does nothing for me either and this is totally personel. However if you like it why not go for it. If it does not sing to you, DaytonaC and YMII will be still with you. I hope you would not miss the BLNR in the future. A GMT is almost a must in your collection. Cheers

Yes, without hesitation I'd trade those two... If it's the VC you covet, why not?

Well said!

I really like the VC, but I prefer the grey dial with Ti bezel that comes with the leather and rubber strap.

I'm not much for the DJ2 but the BLNR would be a tough one to let go. I know you said they'd both have to go to make it happen, but how true is that? If you sold the DJ used the money to start the savings couldn't you just wait till you pile the cash and buy outright?

To me, the VC's bezel looks like Nazi insignia.

More importantly, you'll take an absolute bath on the VC when you sell it.

Not a chance for me as the BLNR is one of the best modern Rolex. It is one I would not part with and goes perfectly with YMII and Daytona. If anything sell the DJ and add Sub LVC and call it a day. That would be perfect SS foursome IMHO.

I would certainly add the VC but it would be at the expense of the hideous YM II (that thing should have a Parental Guidance warning attached). Then flip the DJ for a Sub LVc. Job done!

Love the VC. Particularly the black tappiserie is a winner. Having said that I would keep the BLNR. I would sell the DJ only.

Sell the DJ and BLNR and buy the VC used. You can get rock bottom discounts on VC's so buy them with straight cash.

I think the VCO Chrono is a sick looking watch.
