For Sale: Excellent condition 1971 / 2,977,XXX serial number / vintage Rolex GMT Master (Pepsi) Ref 1675.

This beautiful 1675 was acquired from the original and only owner who purchased it brand new in the mid 1970’s. Comes with original box, partial outer box and booklets.

Case: 100% original, excellent condition, previously polished, but not overly. Show signs of normal wear. Case and crown lugs look great and not over polished. Case back is as it originally came from Rolex. Original crown functions flawlessly. Service history is unknown…he couldn’t remember. He does remember having it serviced sometime in the past. The reference number is faint but visible. The serial number is visible.

Dial: Original in excellent condition. No visible blemishes with nice even creamy patina markers and matching original patina hands. To me, the second hand looks a little lighter in shade.

Crystal: Correct top hat acrylic crystal with some scratches.

Bezel: Original red/blue (Pepsi) bezel. Shows a few minor signs of wear for its age. Slight fading in the blue.

Bracelet: Original C&I folded/riveted bracelet, as it came from Rolex with all 12 links. Original end links are loose and have some rattle and need to be tightened up, an easy fix. Date stamp shows 76. Obvious stretch for its 45 year old age.

Accessories: Original green inner watch box, partial outer box (bottom portion), GMT Master booklet, rotating bezel booklet and a translation booklet.

Watch keeping great time and is running at COSC specs. It shows +1 sec in 24 hours. Due to the length of time it has been sitting in the safe, 20 + years, I would highly recommend a complete service. I recommend sending it to: Jewelers on Time in Newport Beach, Ca to VanessaCW21 (TRF Handle), she has done spectacular work on some of my vintage pieces in the past.

This vintage GMT Master is an excellent example of the famous Reference# 1675. It is a one owner collectable piece worthy of a spot in any collection.
