Omega speed master moon watch or Tudor Pelagos
Guys, can't make up my mind - ultimate grail watch would be Rolex Daytona SS or Submariner but Rolex might come in a couple of years. In the meantime I'm torn between the moon watch (original with hesalite crystal) or Tudor Pelagos. Love dive watches and Tudor but not don't think the pelagos is versatile and the omega can go with anything and is classic. Thoughts!?

If I had to choose, it would be the Speedmaster.

Omega Speedmaster without doubt!
Your alternative (and this may be really difficult) is to not get either and use the money to buy the Rolex that you REALLY want. |

If it is going to be an only watch I would go with the black Pelagos with the new In-house movement. I have owned several Speedy's and while I respect the history I always end up moving them. Has a lot to do with the metal band fit but even on leather, the straps are too thin and cost a fortune in OEM. My Pelagos is one of the most accurate watches I own. The case is very wearable and the lume is unbeatable. For the money, I don't know of a better watch.

Full disclosure, I wear the Pelagos more than the Speedy but I don't love the Speedy any less. I consider the Pelagos more of a daily driver, the Speedy more for special occasions.

The speedmaster is wonderful, but honestly boring (even on nato straps). The Pelagos IMHO actually has more staying power and functionality. Either way however you can't go wrong.

I like Omega's but indifferent toward the Speedmaster. Not a fan of the Pelagos either, I'd wait until I could buy a Daytona (easy for me to say!!)

Wow thanks guys for the overwhelming response. I think it's clear Speedy it is! While I love the Pelagos I just can't get over the classic nature of the speedy and versatility.

I have owned both but the speedy is just a little more special. Best value manual wind Chrono in the world and amazing history. I may need to buy another one soon.

Considering you mentioned your grail is either the Daytona or Sub, I'd suggest Speedy. You'll likely end up getting a Sub at some point. The Speedy would go great with it in a collection.
