7206 Rivet with 58 end links for a sub?
Hey guys.
So as it happens to be, I have always been a fan of the Rivet bracelet, but never really owned a Gilt, or early batch Matte dials that are often sold with Rivets. Due to the prices of the rivet bracelets alone, I have always hesitated buying a bracelet alone. On a future purchase of a 1680 red, I am given the option to pay a very little difference and have a Rivet bracelet. I would have not considered this had the watch come with a period correct 9315 folded bracelet. The watch however comes with a much later (early 2000s) 93150. This is why, I am considering to finally take the plunge and get the Rivet instead. I know that they often came on 7206 with 80s end links for the subs, however will the 58s work? Also, how much more complicated is it to remove links off a 7206 Rivet? Thanks in advance guys! |

I thought 80 ends were for the sub an 58s for all else. However my 7016 from 68 does well 58 ends. Bracelets were a mish mash at the AD level so there are really no rules to follow except date stamps.

They are worth a lot now these Rivets, so makes it easier to buy it with the watch than having to pay over $1.5K I believe it is now to buy it separately. Will double check that it fits properly on the 1680 red before pulling the trigger. Thanks for the help! |

A RedSub should have period correct a 9315 bracelets with 280 ends.
So I would not put it on a 7206. 80 end links fit for 5512, 5513, 6542 58 end links for 5508, 1675, 1016, 1655, 16550 |

I totally understand that, however given the option of either a very late 93150, vs paying a few hundred dollars and getting a Rivet, I felt like it was a no brainer! Would you agree? I have always loved the rivet, and I have no problem wearing my 1680 red on one even if it is not correct. My only question is if it would not fit the 1680 whatsoever? I have seen a few FS posts from Milton and others in the past with a 7206 - 58 end links. So I wanted to confirm it here. I do appreciate your help! |

This should only be taken as a guide as the 1675 was available with a 6636 from the UK and also people have owned watches from new, GMT's and Sub's that came with both 58 and 80 end links. It was not an exact science back in the day.

I have a 7206 with 58 ends on my GMT 1675. It fit fine on my 1680.
Now 501B will NOT fit a 1680 at all. You have to have 280 or 580's. |

Cant wait to fit that rivet onto my red sub. Have never owned neither a rivet before(always loved the way they look), and I have always dreamt of a nice red sub! Cant wait for this one. Feel free to post pics of that 1680 on a rivet if you have any. Just curiosity in me! :D Thanks. |
