9411/0 Bezel Insert Compability

Hi everyone,

I tried to change the bezel insert on my Tudor 9411/0 with an insert from a 5513, but 5513's insert was too big.

Does anyone know which Rolex/Tudor models' bezel inserts would fit 9411/0's bezel? A quick eBay search suggested that 76100's bezel insert would be compatible. Can anyone confirm this?

Many thanks in advance.

Hi T,

The insert from the 5513 is compatible with your 9411 bezel.

Hi K,

No, it's not. And the insert on the 9411/0 falls from 5513's bezel. So, I'm sure it doesn’t fit (the problem is not my 5513 either. I have 2 7928s and I swap their inserts). Is the bezel genuine?

9411/0 Bezel Insert Compability

Post pictures of the insert n the bezel in question so we can help. 9411 = 5513

I blame it on the autoconnect.

Yes it's a genuine bezel and any plexi insert fits the bezel.

Same bezel, different inserts.

A. Saying that it's genuine and posting your pictures doesn't prove anything. For all I know, the bezel could be different in these pictures.

B. How do you explain that the fact that the blue insert (that is currently on the 9411) FALLS from my 5513's bezel? The blue insert is too small. I'll post pictures tomorrow (it's 3AM here. I'm going to catch some sleep).

Case in point: it looks like that you're selling the bezel in the first picture you posted:
http://www.network54.com/Forum/20767...age/1476033503

So, the bezel in the second picture could be an aftermarket one.

I'm taking this discussion into Watchout section.

I am not sure you are talented / experienced enough to determine if the insert is legit or not - as I stated in the other thread it may be aftermarket or it may be from a small run of 80s inserts. What you need to do is take very precise measurements of the inner, outer diameters and the WEIGHT. Precise measurements x.xx And compare with known good inserts - take better photos too so the rest of us can offer better opinions.

Last note, an insert that has lost much of its tension/spring/compression will easily fall out of a bezel sometimes so that is not a hard fast rule. These are 30/40/50 year old parts from different watches that while the same specs when initially built, have lost some integrity over time.

To add to this, I have had a similar issue on a 1973 9411 I owned. The bezel and the retaining ring were just a hair smaller than my other subs (at the time I had a 1680, 7016 and a 9401). I could easily swap the 1680/7016/9401's but they were too big for the 9411 retaining ring and the 9411 bezel was too small to fit on the other watch retaining rings. It was a similar story with the actual inserts.

The 9411 insert would fall out of the other bezels and a new insert wouldn't fit easily into the 9411. It fit, but in the process it shaved a sliver of aluminum OFF the insert before it would fully seat.

As for the light blue insert? Very similar to those you'd see on the 76100's. The light blue insert is a legit and (to me) very real insert.
