Not happy......
....about the current AUD to USD rate. Got some great deals about a month back when we were doing 95c - 98c against USD. Bought an Atmos, JLC World Extreme & AP Perpetual from the US. Probably going to have to wait a while for the AUD to go up again

I don't think the aussie will get any higher any time soon (lucky I bought my watches at 93c and 96c respectively ). The aussie is singly attached to the commodities and when copper, nickel, zinc, base metals all ditched 20-30% in a month, aussie won't hold up.
The puzzling thing is that USD has been rising and there is no fundamentals to support this surge. The only plausible explanation is that hedge funds are unwinding their short USD positions. Even a conflict in Georgia hasn't kicked up the oil price recently... Something is very very wrong here. |

Best place to buy probably is NZ... The ticket isn't too expensive and their economy looks like in worse shape than ours. So, should get some bargain there.

The world economy is not looking great for the foreseeable future. I think China is booming! Maybe I can go drive a rickshaw for a living and support my watch hobby.
