I went to the AD today to try on Smurf for the 5th time. So close to making this flip, just haven't gotten up the nerve. Here r some pics

It looks great on you, and you obviously like it, or you wouldn't have tried it on 5 times...what's stopping you?

Cost is my hesitation...BLNR is the most I've spent thus far, it's a big jump...it would also be me my one and only daily driver (besides my speedy pro)

That store looks familiar. Tourneau?
I would go someplace that would offer you a discount.

Understandable. Give our trusted sellers a shot and see what they can do for you.

Do it. The BLNR is nice but the smurf is in another league altogether.

What are you waiting for?! Just kidding..I'd be hesitant as well. I don't think I could ever sell or trade any of my pieces but the Smurf is as good as it gets.

Don't do it. Rolex sports models should be steel.

Thank you all for the enabling. Those of you who own it, quick question. Do you ever find it's too bright blue or too loud? I know it's not YG but curious if the brightness of the blue stands out in everyday situations. I'm not comfortable attracting too much attention. Do you get many comments in your 116619?

The blue is not loud. Not much louder than a blue Tudor Pelagos. WG is relatively stealth, unlike YG.

As long as the AD is giving you a good deal, no worries. You can sell your BLNR here on the forums + buy a new one from a trusted seller and the difference out of pocket should be about $18-19k. If they're trying to sell you the Smurf for any where near the $37k retail, run!

Since it's not my money, do it! (we're enablers 1st)

But if it were me. Nope.

The blnr is more my style and I'd use the cash difference on another watch.

Wear it well!

I don't get any comments on my watches from non watch people. Not even the Platona. The Smurf is a beautiful watch. Get it and wear it!!!

I traded a YMll earlier in the year for the 116619. I would do it again, and I certainly think your trade is something I would do in a heart beat. I love love the smurf, it is not loud like you think but I do get compliments that people think it's stunning. I also love the feel of the watch and the substantial difference of something different on the wrist. And don't forget about that glidelock, best invention. It is a big difference in money of what you have, but once it's done, you won't look back.

Sorry I am going to go against others on this board. Not for the fact that I dislike the Smurf by any means.... It is a great beautiful watch!!

Smurf is so nice but it is a lot to spend on a watch as a daily I really think the BLNR is a great watch. Still classy but sporty and you dont have to worry about the $$$ hanging from your wrist.

I would only get the Smurf down the road if it was an addition to your collection and not the only watch in it.

I would get the smurf as blue is my favorite color. It is not too bright, just right. You will love it.

I would do it in a heartbeat. I flipped my BLNR and cash for a BLRO, but if you can swing it, you won't regret it. Nothing like the feel of a PM Rolex.

Here's a shot to help you along. TS used $23k
