wrist pics

When trying on several watches in a jewellers and taking pics do you mention to the jeweller it's for TRF, for a second opinion from him/her indoors before you buy, or say nothing and walk out watcheless?

Is there any shame in knowing your not buying just trying?

I tell them the truth, that I am looking at a few other watches and I want to build a small collection of pics so I compare them at home

Never had any problems

Seems like a reasonable justification.

Not an issue for me, I know at some point trying will turn to buying.
I must admit however it drives the Mrs nuts

No, but I've had an AD ask if I was a member of TRF, turns out it was Chris, a senior member here. Asking to take pics also shows serious intent so most are happy to oblige I find, never been refused so far.

My AD doesn't even know what TRF is.

But, they are very cool about letting me take as many pics as I want. IMO, I think it's hard to argue with the logic of going back and looking at how the thing looks on your wrist when you're talking about a big ticket purchase.
