Not that anyone is fact checking...it's actually a V serial, so guaranteed 3186 movement.

I am lucky enough to have both... While the thinner cases of each are the same, the dials are so vastly different and nice to have both.

Definitely can't go wrong, have the 3185 in a 16710. A great movement, no question.
I thought so too, but a Polar full set 3186/16570 priced close to 6.5k just sold here in the classifieds.

Interesting, obviously the demand is there to say otherwise.

I don't purchase watches as investments pieces, however, it is nice to decrease the likelihood of significant depreciation.
