Hi All,

I've been dipping my toes into this forum, chrono24 and wider internet searches on the hunt for a birth year rolex explorer, a 1016 circa 1987.

I've stumbled on the following watch:

The listing states the watch is circa 1987. The serial is visible and also listed as R88****

1) Has anyone dealt with jerome from watchmywatch?
2) Is the watch real? Are there any red flags?
3) Most sites say R88 would be 1988, however a few have said it could be 1987, which is it?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

"R" Ranges from 1987 to 1989 so it depends where it sits in that range
