Incoming Caran d'Ache
So I know several of you recommended against the colored d'Ache pens but my dealer offered it to me at a great price so this beauty is on the way.
https://store.carandache.com/int-en/...odi%C3%A9.html Hopefully, since it will be used in my rotation and not every day, it will last and the color won't chip. If it does then so be it, lesson learned and life goes on. I will report more once it arrives in the next day or 2. Hope you guys are having an awesome holiday season and if anyone can recommend another green ballpoint without gold trim I am open to being naughty and buying myself another gift! |

Nice looking pen. I have owned several in the past but they do not do as well as MB for me. Enjoy.

I love my Cd'A pens and I've never had any issue with the lacquer chipping or flaking and certainly rate them as the equal of my Montblancs if not superior to them. I've sold most of my Montblancs but have not even considered selling my Cd'As.

In my most humble opinion, MB pens are overrated. Maybe the old MB were solid, well-built pens, using durable materials then available. But nowadays they seem cheaply built to me. It's as if corporate priorities have changed. There was a time when the main objective was to built a solid, long-lasting, well thought-out product. Now it's all about cost-cutting and bigger margins.
It's certainly not my purpose to offend anyone. Moreover, I don't have nearly the same experience with fountain pens as others in this community. |
