Sub. I vote 116613lb. You already have green covered so I would avoid the hulk and I think the 116610/114060 is not exciting enough for you right now. So my recommendation is the TT blusey.

So then he'd have two Rolexes without a date?

Datejust lover here, and plenty to choose from, a great fix for the time being. 2-3k gets a nice watch depending on your taste, 36 mm, a classic...

Sub all day everyday but since you have a blue dial watch I would go with a black dial Sub even though LV is a perfect watch.

Most of the time, I wear a 36mm DJ (white dial, white gold fluted bezel), a 2016 39mm Exp1, or a 40mm Sub.

I enjoy the sparkle of the DJ and it goes well with office attire and for dressing up for special dinners with my wife. The lume is discreet and won't draw attention at the movies or a restaurant.

I enjoy the Exp1 as a stealth Rolex. It goes well with office attire and casual weekend attire. The new 2016 Exp1 has amazing lume (my wife calls it distracting). (The lume is much brighter than my 2015 DJ with similar stick batons).

I enjoy my 40mm Sub as my casual all-purpose watch. I use the rotating bezel to time parking meters and the like. I have no real need of the date, so I'm quite happy with the non-date Exp1 and Sub.

Good luck with your hunt.

if you are use to the size of milgauss than switch for a sub (date, no date or hulk). You will get a date and an updated bracelet.
A gmt would be a great move too.

Doesn't matter what age you are, a Submariner is always a good, no brainer selection. I would suggest a 5 digit Sub. As I look more and more the classic sub, I prefer the look of 5 digit sub. A good classic.
