New home office

Recently I have been getting into new ventures and was becoming very annoyed at working at my dining room table. I finally set it up and was wondering if anyone also has a home office and how you have it set up?

Very Nice Ed! I work out of a home office and will be proud to show you some pictures... (but I'm on a business trip until next week ).

Everyone else keep the thread going for me and I'll take the pics when I get back

Very nice! Richard Nixon is kind of an odd duck to have on the wall... Not one of our shining stars, you could say.

I think the picture fits perfect in your décor. The portrait feels "right".

Room looks fantastic!

I have a study at home plus an office at work.

Certainly not picture worthy like yours!

I've had a home office for almost 20 years...in three different locations. It's a real dump. Stuff everywhere. Some books that haven't been opened, and drawers that haven't been cleaned out, since the 20th century. Loads of pics and maps stuck on the walls, but none of those pseudo-philosopical motivational self-help signs, and no politicians.

Swap out that end table behind your chair, for a mini refrigerator, so you can work through the night, ..

I just set up my home office. I'll take pics tonight and post.

I'm really very fond of it. If the wife is not home, the only place you find me is my office.

Yep, my office looks like someone put a bomb in the paper drawer. Crap is everywhere. The crazy thing is, I know where every piece of paper/document is. I would like to say I'll get better organized one of these days, but I know it's not going to happen.

I work half my time at my home office, the other half on the road. Also have an office in Chicago I visit about 4 times year.
Best part about a home office is the commute.

Nice home office!

I've have mine set-up with a large monitor (22"), docking station, chargers, Bluetooth headsets, pen, notepads, wireless scanner/printer, wireless internet. Use wireless to connect everything (laptops, iPad and iPhone). Use my iPhone as my only phone line
(no more landine) and it works well.

I have my laptop that I bring up, and my tablet lives in the desk. I also don't have a landline just my iPhone.

I've had a home office for a few years now. It's great in the warmer months and no fun in winter. When my wife gets home from her office I'm usually chomping at the bit to get outside and change the atmosphere.
Good luck with yours
I've got my jar of candy to my right and in the kitchen to my left I have the news running so I can see and hear it.

I've had a home office for 16 years. I think it's important to try and separate your work space from your living space.

A good start! Maybe a hair sparse to far.

An empty pizza box and beer cans on the coffee table does wonders for atmosphere. A thick throw rug under the desk for your tootsies, and a picture of your significant other on the desk

Congrats on the home office!

I loved mine and saved me 2 hours a day commuting but unfortunately with 2 small kids, a stay at home wife and two boxer dogs there is far too much noise and distractions to really work from home anymore.

Here's mine. It's connected to my "man cave" and was awesome to pace while on calls, practice shuffle board and have news on in the background.

We have a Winner!!!

Mine is a very small room, maybe 8' x 4', but with a nice view of the backyard.
