Have you ever seen a Rolex Box like this?....

I just bought from a forum member an Explorer II (216570) and he told me it was coming in a large box. I never thought it would be this big and heavy. It weighs over 5 pounds, has an outer sleeve, outer box, inner green box with a removable piece and compartments. Here are some pictures:
Sorry for the sideway pics

Congrats on the watch

I think that's the box the platinum Daytona watch comes in. Maybe all platinum watches.

After the first couple of pics I was thinking Platona. Never seen one like it before, but wouldn't mind one.

That's an XL box, usually reserved for the big dog models...congrats, you just got an upgrade.

The steel models usually come in the small boxes...which are VERY aptly named.

Nope. I do wonder what purpose the extra compartments serve though? It could probably house several watch cushions with some simple DIY.

Great responses. I have not seen it either. I now know why. I do not own a Platona.

Best Rolex box I have seen. Nice score and nice watch too. Congrats!
