I read the book ROLEX history. This model is known as the BL SUB. BL stands for "BootLegged". After an indepth examination of the photo, and performing over 200 comparisons, I have come to the conclusion that this is not a genuine Sub.

I don't believe you really have the watch, I think you stole the pics for this obviously very rare Rolex. Can you please take a picture of the watch with the hands at 5:35 PM and post them? I might be interested in purchasing this specimen; and I do mean "specimen."

That looks like the Rolex my grandfather left me when he died. I am in no need of it so I put it on Ebay last night.

I don't think NY RSC services "red-dot" models. Check with SF RSC.

Steven if not mistaking that's the model that started it all, the price tag on that beauty is about $1,000.000.00. You're rich man.

Steve, I may be wrong but the insert may be a later replacement. I believe the numbers on the white sub insert were in roman numerals.

Hey, why does the bezel look like it's not straight? Is it broke? I've never see one twisted around like that before. That's gonna cut into the resale value. Did you get any spare batteries?

The 'Son of Thin Dead Tree" dial is gorgeous though, and oddly enough....fairly rare.
