What a beauty, I wish I had an AD closer so I could try the blnr on it's been a year or so since I had one on my wrist and I thought it was to big for me. Maybe things have changed. Going to grand caymans in two days and I saw they have an AD so maybe I'll get to try one on! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

If you don't think you can pull off the DD, then by all means get your sub back.

So you are considering buying a watch today that you don't really want today , but think you will in years from now. Yea, weird right. . Get what you want now. It's quite simple. You want something else later then deal with it at that point.

Good luck and hope they have one in stock. Definitely better looking in person. Pictures do not do this watch justice. Just simply love the bit of blue on the GMT hand and bezel. Makes a huge difference.

For the record, I voted for the BLNR, but, if a person truly wants a DD, then by all means, get one, regardless of the age. Still in my thirties. Not too old at all. Didn't they say the thirties are the new twenties?

Get the 16610 for sure. The 118238 will be a fun chase for the years to come, but the 16610 will mean so much more to you. Plus, compound interest man, save that paper now!

As for the thirties, I am in the same boat as you. Turning the big 40 in June.

I have a BLNR and switch it on and off the Oyster bracelet, a Super Jubilee bracelet and an Everest rubber strap. It's a really versatile watch and goes well with everything - a real keeper.
But you have an emotional attachment and history with your 16610. My sense is that if you don't get it back you will forever be looking over your shoulder and it will become your "Rosebud" (check the movie reference). |

A SubC would be my vote. A stunning piece that just seems to get cooler with age. In 50 years that watch will still be timeless and sought after.
