Blue OP 39. Second best modern reference out there.

I'd save about 500 to 750 more and get the Explorer II Polar 216570. If not then a 39mm Explorer.

Pre owned 39mm explorer or 39mm OP. Two great watches & very reasonable for a Rolex.'

I'd say either the 39mm Explorer if you want a more sporty look or Rhodium dial 39mm Oyster Perpetual for a versatile sporty/dressy look. If you want new though, you may need a little more $ and a discount off retail pricing. Used probably more in range right now. Good luck & Cheers!

Is saving a little bit more cash an option? This is what I recommend. Then it gives you more options.

Glashutte Original PanoMaticLunar preowned, just for a non-Rolex dressy and cool alternative.

Ok guys. What's the BEST WATCH 5k can buy?

A new or used Speedy Pro...and have cash leftover to put toward the next piece.

It's a bit like asking for the best pair of shoes. We all have different needs and desires.

Give me even a $10K limit to buy one watch, and I'm picking a 16570.
