I have the same exact watch, style number R16613N30B9325. I have had the watch for about 17 years and notice the bracelet starting to stretch from daily wearing. My youngest daughter got ahold of it and destroyed the clasp. I decided to take it in for a replacement band and as quoted about $5,200 after taxes, I almost passed out since the watch only cost me $5,999 brand new back in 2001. I started thinking that I was getting ripped off by my certified Rolex dealer but now I feel much better seeing you were quoted about the same price. They had to send it off to an RSA to get the bracelet replaced, I don't even think they gave me any trade in on the old bracelet which I have seen others talk about when getting braclets replaced, needless to say, the Rolex will no longer be my daily wearer after this, it will spend most of its days in its little spinning box after this.
