Daytona screw down pushers.

I think they are called 'pushers', or we could call them knobs. Anyway, just got a new Daytona, my first, and have been struck by the mild inconvenience of the screw down mechanism. It feels easiest to remove the watch to use them. Anyone else found this, or is it just me, and my lack of experience with the watch ?
BTW; it is a white gold/blue dial model. Not too 'obvious' which is what I wanted.

you can leave it unscrewed , i wear it on my right wrist so in case i need (extremly seldom) to measure something i take off the watch for easier handling.

Unless you're washing it or going swimming/diving with it, just leave them unscrewed. Only screw them down when you want to avoid pushing them in a wet environment.

It's possible your bracelet is too tight. I don't have the same inconvenience you described.
As for leaving them unscrewed, your everyday water resistance is still OK. But I don't do it for 2 reasons - first: sand, dirt and dust gets into the threads and is hard to clean out, second: I'm prone to snagging my watch on hardware around the track and it slightly adds some risk of damaging a pusher (just my carelessness).

Thanks everybody. I think the bracelet adjustment is about right....good movement but not too much. Given that these beasts are not cheap (!) I would feel nervous leaving the screws undone. So I think I will just have to get used to it.

the screw mechanism on the pushers is not (contrary to public belief) for waterproofing - plenty of threads on here about that fact.

They are to prevent you pressing them when timing longer events - it is a 12 hour timer after all.

So its perfectly safe to leave them unscrewed if that makes their use easier

It's a bit tricky, push down are much easier. Let's see some pics of that beauty.

All the screw down pushers are for is to stop you activating the chrono function accidentally, it has nothing whatsoever to do with any water resistance.

Try bending your wrist down at a 90 degree angle while the watch is on your wrist. It may help prop the watch up to sit higher off your wrist when using the pushers. Other options would be to extend the easy link so it moves on your wrist easier when using the pushers

Or just hand your Daytona to your faithful assistant to time the things you wish timed.
