Presidential pens?
What pen(s) does the US president use to sign proclamations, executive orders, etc?

Must be cheap ones since they're only good for one document?

Many pens from what I can tell. However, most "official" presidential pens I've seen have been either Parker or Cross. American brands although nowadays no one knows what brand belongs to what huge group. Er... nope, I'll ended here. Hey,

I know the Obama had a Visconti Divina given to him at the G8 summit. I can't imagine he threw it away.

Here is an article on what happens with gifts given to the Presidents. If the value of the pen was under $375.00 (and I don't know the current values) he might get to keep it after the secret service finishes examining it from a security perspective. |

If you watch the videos on YouTube each time Trump signs a document the pen is taken and kept with the document.
He gets a new pen for each.

They usually sign legislation with cheap pens that have their signature and the presidential seal on them. They stop after each stroke in their signature and grab another pen for the next stroke.
The pens are then given to people instrumental in the legislation. I believe they used Parkers in the past. But I cannot remember for sure. I have had one. I believe it was a felt pen from Nixon. Here is a video looks like they are using Cross now. I consider Cross cheap. But it looks like an upgrade from the ones I have seen in the past. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CZSoUBNz13Q If link does not work google all the presidents pens youtube. When he signs executive orders, Trump is using a Century II black lacquer and gold roller ball pen, made by manufacturer A. T. Cross. The Trump White House put in an initial order for 150 of the pens.

This looks like a felt tip. Go to 4:47of this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wIjGjDW-JX4). He is signing several executive orders using what appears to be a felt tip.
