Basel is what it's always been.
Rolex introduces new watches. Some people are happy and some are disappointed. Rolex keeps chugging along, while the rest of the world catches up. I give it an A, even though there's nothing really for me this year, because it has gotten people buzzing, which is the whole point of the event.

It was a C but the SS Sky-Dweller brought the average up to a B.

I calculated the weighted average as of the time of this posting. It's a GPA of 1.89 for a C-

Assign Basel 2017 a Grade:
SS SkyD -which up until now I've heard a handful of people on this forum ever mention is a hot watch. The SeaD- had it been 42mm and no cyclops I think it would've been awesome. But I also think the 43mm signals the demise of the deepsea. And if I ever wore dress pieces, that Cellini would be great.
So I give it a B- |

The SS Sky Dweller makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside since it's slightly more obtainable for me now. It's a damn good looking watch with an awesome complication.
