I just found out that 2 cousins of mine are pregnant too now... and did I mention before that my brother is expecting his newborn in a month?!
We're having a baby-boom in our family right now! And it's all at my mom's side of the family. My grandma is 88 and she has 4 great-grandchildren right now... by the time the year is over she'll have 8! With my girl on the way, we're going to have three 4-generations in our family! And one of those cousins is eligible to give the 4th if she has a girl again. I am so excited my grandma is able to experience all of these great moments! She's the best!

Hello my friends... I'm bringing this old thread back to life, since we still don't have a name and I'm due in about 5 weeks!
I like something unusual, but not weird! Any more suggestions?? Especially from Spanish/Greek speakers please! Thank you!!

My personal favorite is Doctor. Helps get a good table at a restaurant, among other things.

I would suggest Alyssa, but that's been taken by this one:

It would help to know the last name but understand you probably do not want to divulge this info' on a public forum.
I thought of JayJania or Bubanelle. Maria is safe. Elisabeta [correct spelling?] Athena. Persis. Ophelia. Think of the nickname potential--good or bad. CONGRATULATIONS!

My wife and I felt it was important for the first name to sound good with the middle and last names. We also kept the names a secret so we wouldn't have to listen to any editorial comments from well-meaning friends and family. I see a lot of Spanish names in my job and many of them are very pretty.
Paloma = Dove, as Lisa said Linda = beautiful Adelina = noble Amada = loved Araceli = altar of the heavens Blanca = white Casilda = my high school Spanish teacher's name Yesenia = college professor's name Cristina = Christian Esperanza = hope Graciela Jacinta = hyacinth Maritza = beloved Reyna = reina = Queen! Good luck!

A friend of mine named their girl Isabella Mina. I think that's Spanish.
