Nice and green there.... you can't help but have a great time with that landscape!

Enjoying life Gerardo. That's what it's about! I've been there as well.

Sadly, I will be traveling starting tomorrow. Two countries, 8 states, 12 cities before our GTG 2017. No quiet time :(

lol nice !

I bet the weather is getting perfect. If I had a heads up you were going I would've sent you a welcome back to the condo gift. Out of 24,000 cases of 1997 Beringer Private Reserve produced and its 20 years later how many you think are hidden away. (50%) ? Maybe Less I think. Guess who picked up 5 cases...

Reason I like this so much much is it was just about the most perfect growing season as there could be. They used grapes from The Howell Mountain AVA (including Bancroft Ranch) and a 2-3 other areas as well. 100% Cabernet no blend forget the quantity of great fruit that year it was about the quality and as our friend Trace told me any winery could stamp Reserve on a label at any time, Napa, CA doesn't have the strictest regulations very much unlike French. But if there was ever a bottle that deserved the title of Reserve this one is it. There's been many after this for sure but this IMO is special and the time is now to drink these. I'm expecting a different experience with a few of these now in a not so good way, although these had great iron clad provenance you never know. Napas longest running vineyard continues to make great stuff year after year even during bad growing seasons it seems. And you can't beat the price if you grab current years asap.

Wow don't know why I just said all this. but you know I thought 2007 Beringer really impressed me more so then 1997 Insignia in McAllen. I do enjoy both though but that night one was far superior

EDIT: just saw those wines above most excellent choices. I know the wine store your in lol I think ?

Enjoy your weekend, I wish I was there steaks and wine sound so good right now.

Hola Mark! Yes, you do know the place, and I completely agree on your comments. As far as a welcome back package....WILL BE HERE ALL WEEK!

...just the idea of a Mark package is like Christmas eve!!!!!! (Got a great story about Xmas and the condo, please remind me to tell you at the GTG)

...as far as steaks.....(suspense)

Dear Paul: you have been invited to THE event in the Rolex world: WIS CON 2017. I am sure Basel is fun, but a weekend with TRFers is something special. To everyone attending, I have suggested putting their issues in order, clearing their soul and having a thorough confession, as the Clash Of The Titans (Paul and Jocke) might be a sign of the world coming to an end (or at least hell freezing over).
