Other than the Omega Speedmaster and a Bulova prototype, a Rolex GMT Master was the only other watch taken to the surface of the moon.

RSC will not work on or even provide a service estimate for a watch with even 1 unauthentic part. Even an unauthentic spring bar will be addressed before moving forward with a service.

Seriously? I swapped out one genuine spring bar for an aftermarket one from Everest straps (they sell spring bar accessories). My genuine one wasn't functioning well, and it was slightly bent, so it couldn't fully engage into the holes. I'd find it ludicrous if they refused service because of this. I'm fine if they charge me extra to replace with a genuine Rolex spring bar, but to refuse is ridiculous.

I happen to know that the Everest spring bars are extremely similar to the OEM bars so it might actually slip past. BUT if they were to catch, they'd make you buy a new spring bar before the move forward.

They may very well refuse service though if you refused to buy the genuin part.

On a side note, this would be very far from the first time someone said RSC did something "ridiculous" lol.

More Rolex owners think "Is it safe...?" than any other brand owners.

Actually there is SirI dont want to hijack the thread but the Swiss Military CX 20 000 ft / 6000 m ISO ( Unofficially 25 000 ft / 7500 m ) broke the record held by the DSSD in 2009. 0nly 1000 of this mechanical chronograph timepieces were made by Montres Charmex SA and each cost ~ USD 4000. However the DSSD is still the number 1 best selling mass-produce deepest diving watch....

Sorry but for what model does it take a year to make?

Or has it changed model per model?

As Meganfox17 already mentioned, The Charmex Swiss Military holds the record. Rolex took it from them, and they took it back with the 20,000ft version. It's shaped like a golf ball and is pretty much unwearable.

This is a video of it at max depth.

This looks like a good spot for this article:
