@japenney -- I saw your posting! I think I may follow your lead and take it to LAWW to see what can be done about the hands. Did your watch come with the original hands or did you source them somehow?

Mine came with the hands. Greekbum may be able to help you with an original set to match your dial. Or you could always have a set relumed to match your dial. LA watchworks does reluming :).

Thanks for the info! I'll be reaching out to LAWW later today to see what the best possible course of action is. Hopefully they can either source a set of hands or do a cleaner job relumkng the existing hands to match the dial.

One last question for the rest of you pros on the forum, what model bracelet would have come on this watch from the factory? I may be interested in flipping the 93150 that came with it for a period correct one. Thx!

78360, given its vintage. The 62510 jubilee was an option.

Here is a link to a master thread with a spreadsheet on bracelet and endlink info.

@trie -- thanks for the info. I was initially under the impression it was the older 7206... glad it's not as that one is pretty expensive.

@tom -- thanks! I plan to. I have a feeling there will be more where this came from lol.

@Justin -- that would be awesome! I'll shoot you a PM tomorrow then.

Quick follow up regarding the bezel... how does one identify the period of a 1675 bezel? Any tell-tale signs to look for to determine period correctness? I can't seem to differentiate the differences.

FYI neither of those bracelet models were available in the late 60's.

Most easily by an insert's font thickness and font shape. It would also have a red back (blue back came later).

Ah you are correct. I misread one post about the bezel insert being late 70s and now just saw the post with the serial of 1.2M.

Actually for a 1.2 mil serial 1675, the Swiss rivet 7206/58 would be the correct bracelet. You could also use a USA rivet C&I bracelet or a 6251/50 Swiss folded link jubilee or a USA oval link jubilee. You can find all of these bracelets in various places online, just beware of forgeries.

So knowing that the serial is 1.9... what is the correct bracelet? I was actually reading that some GMTs in the late 60s came with the 93150 bracelet as it was an option at the time. Gleaned this fact from other posts I was reading throughout the forum.

That would be incorrect, far to early for a 93150. A UK watch would have come with a 6636 and either a 7836, 7206 or C&I would be correct.

Thanks Lee, that's what I'm seeing now. I think I was confusing the 9315 with the 93150. I did read that it was possible to have GMTs be fitted with a 9315 at the AD depending on the customer's preference. Any truth to this?

@David and Lee -- thanks for the info and clarification. I guess it really comes down to preference as there's no real way to tell what the watch came with unless you have the papers for it.
