Purchase Mont Blanc for niece for H.S. graduation - Need Help

Thought I'd post here-
My niece is graduating from an exclusive High School and is off to college in the Fall. I was thinking of purchasing a Mont Blanc pen as a gift but am having a tough time deciding which one...
Also, I'm familiar with the TS on this site having bought and sold a fair share of watches, but do they have the same for Mont Blanc pens? I'm obviously weary of purchasing a fake or non-warrantied pen. Thanks all in advance! Slainte!

Mont blanc meisterstuck rollerball is one of the most popular pens. I would associate it to Rolex DJ's. But then again I think it's the most replicated as well.

I think most of us here on the TRF pen forum would agree that we would be glad to help. Feel free to post a photo of the pen you are wanting to purchase and we can take a look. Be aware that a seller can post any photo of a Montblanc he wants and send you something counterfeit.

Also, I have never seen so many counterfeit Montblancs on Ebay. I do my part in reporting them and as a collector I feel a bit of responsibility in needing to do so. The nauseating thing is to see people actually purchasing them. I would stay away from any Montblanc pens being sold out of China. The other night I reported every pen in a sellers store. He had about 15 different MBs for sale and every one of them were counterfeit. Ebay does have a great program of getting your money back if you get stung, but the hoops you have to jump through are many and varied.

Good luck!

I would for one of two options. 1) Pix, great colors, simplistic design, quality is top notch. Rollerball is best here.

2) Montblanc M: great design, a bit more pricey but it's a very versatile and practical one. Would go for Rollerball as well.

Just like Rolex, AD is #1 pick or a reputable seller.

Go for rollerball, you wont regret it.

Purchase Mont Blanc for niece for H.S. graduation - Need Help

I think a nice Starwalker would be fitting for responsible/mature a college bound high schooler.

Like this one.
http://www.montblanc.com/en-us/colle...point-pen.html

Mont Blanc does make a screenwriter for tablets etc but it is expensive ($1000).

They also make a smart pad that capture your writing to an app.

I would say that basically anything in the attached link is the way to go. Pick what works best with her style (yellow, or white gold/plat trim etc.) and then find a place to order it. If you're not a big pen guy, post here for us to see or buy from an AD.

To know the future is to be trapped by it

I agree with the last part of this 1000%. But from an AD or reputable online seller. More fakes out there than real ones in some places.

Who are the reputable on-line sellers? Sorry for the questions, just not familiar with the pens part of this forum...

Fountain pen network is one that I hear often. Honestly, I have a great relationship with my AD so I don't generally stray from there.

Farneys, Bertrams, Fountain Pen Hospital, and the like are all rep online retailers.
