Anyone with a passion for food would choose Ferran Adria - 6 years ago- but since he's no longer in the restaurant business, he's no longer relevant

I would have to think Adria will make a comeback at some point, it's tough for a chef to hang up their hat forever. The guys is an absolute genius.

I don't think he's interested in running a restaurant anymore. He walked away at the peak of his popularity and turned El Bulli into a research center for all things edible.

His brother has a couple amazing restaurants in Barcelona

There is only one choice here - the GREAT Jacques Pepin.

As far as celebrity chef restaurants that I have eaten in, I will list in order of favorites.
Tied for #1:
Mario Batali (Babbo, Del Posto, Eataly) and
Bobby Flay (Bobby's Burger Bar, Bar Americain NYC for brunch, Mesa Grill NYC and LAS)
#3 Thomas Keller (Bouchon)
#4 Anthony Bordain (Brasserrie Les Halles) both Bouchon and Les Halles serve Steak Frites better than any other restaurant on the planet.
#5 Kevin Rathbun
#6 Linton Hopkins
#7 Lidia Bastianich
#8 Anne Quatrano
#9 Wolfgang Puck
#10 Michael Anthony
#11 Todd English
#12 Emeril Lagasse

Celeb chef's whose food I would love to try:
Ina Garten
Julia Child
Joel Robuchon
John Besh

I would not eat in a Guy Fieri restaurant if you paid me. That guy is an absolute food hack.

I like the way you did this to break it down.

Here’s my list, although some of the chefs aren’t as well known as Anthony Bourdain:

1. Juan Mari Arzak (Arzak)
2. Thomas Keller (Per Se, The French Laundry, Bouchon, Bouchon Bakery)
3. Alain Ducasse (Alain Ducasse NYC, Alain Ducasse Plaza au Plaza Athénee, Adour NYC, Le Jules Verne, Benoit Paris, Benoit NYC)
4. Jean Georges (Jean-Georges, Perry Street, Jojo, The Mercer Kitchen)
5. Masa Takayama (Masa)
6. Jöel Robuchon (L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon Saint-Germain, Etoile, NYC)
7. Eric Ripert (Le Bernadin)
8. Daniel Boulud (Daniel, Cafe Boulud, Boulud Sud, DB Bistro Moderne, DBGB
9. Gordon Ramsay (Gordon Ramsay at the London)
10. Mario Batali (Babbo, Del Posto, Esca, Lupa, OTTO, Eataly NYC,)

I could keep going but the line between chef and restauranteur started to get blurred for me. I have literally planned vacations around eating at certain restaurants.

Anthony Bourdain is the only person who should be on that list!

Favorite celebrity chef?

They cook and I eat... Any will work with my symbiotic relationship.

I voted Gerardo... but I don't know why I always get hungry watching Barefoot Contessa.

I ate at the Gordon Ramsey restaurant in the Paris Las Vegas hotel and it was bad. One of the toughest steaks I've ever had. I'll never go back on my own dime.
