DJ41 vs SkyDweller

Besides an additional $5K or so from my new DJ41, please convince me I don't need to trade to the SkyDweller

I can't convince you.

But I have them both. And if I had to pick one, it would be an easy answer.

DJ41 is a much more comfortable and versatile watch.

I really like the SkyD. But I LOVE the DJ41.

Interesting. Why might you feel the SD is less comfortable? (small wrist guy here)

It's personal preference really... but yes, get the SS SkyD

My wrist is about 7".

The SkyD is a big watch. No two ways about it. It is pretty thick and it is heavy.

I wear it when I go out at night and on the weekends. Granted it has only been a week. However, when I put the DJ41 back on for work, it is a vast difference in terms of comfort.

Something to consider is that I have the DJ on a jubilee, and I currently convinced that the jubilee is just more comfortable than the oyster.

But in terms of size, balance, weight and overall comfort, there is really zero comparison.

In closing, I was very happy to wear the SkyD all weekend. It was for the most part fine. Just like any other watch I have owned. So I don't really have any complaints.

Its just that the DJ41 is so incredibly smooth and sexy, and svelte.

I only like the two-tone DateJusts, and the new ss Skydweller is just sexy.

Two things:

1. Size The SD is only one MM bigger at 42 but I believe wears larger then that and is definitely much heavier.

2. Complication versus simplicity. Pretty much said. If you want, need, or don't mind the complicated dial and other aspects of the SD, it's your watch. I preferred a simpler dial, so chose the 41, but hey! Best of luck and show pics!

FWIW, the DJ41 is actually 39mm.

I can post a comparison picture tonight. Its a pretty substantial difference.

I also have the jubilee on the 41 and is more comfortable than the oyster I had on the DJ2

Do you have the thickness in mm of both ?

sky dweller is 14.1 mm thick
datejust is around 11.7 to 12 mm thick

Heavier, looking bigger, no jubilee, $5K more, means I'm sticking with a perfectly capable DJ41 (for now ��)

I have a new DJ41 and love the comfort. I DO have large watches, a DSSD and a Ball that is bigger than the DSSD! I would consider the SKYD but I have zero use for a 2nd time zone since I am not allowed out of the county w/o supervision. (Yes, county not country.)

So I will stick with the DJ41.
