That strap looks great. Everest? Was thinking of doing the same.

The white is nice but a bit bland. I think the black looks awesome.

I'm a bit surprised that white is leading by almost double!

I thought it would be closer as well. There seemed to be a strong preference for white when these were first released, but it felt like the tide was shifting to black. Have to admit, seeing all the photos on TRF of the black dial made me second guess my decision hard.

I'm not surprised that white is more desirable. The white dial with contrasting black bezel photographs better. And, since most people only have internet photos to go by, they prefer the white. I personally chose the black because it's more versatile with dressing up or down. The white would be too sporty (for me) to wear on a daily basis.

I decided for white because of the future watches I planned to collect in that none was white all dark dials. Never saw black in person. Looks good in pictures though..

i didn't exactly get to pick, not that I couldn't have simply chosen to not buy my black dial Daytona, but I didn't have the opportunity to pick white.

Upon the initial release, I was totally smitten with white. As the incomings started rolling in, I found myself surprisingly taken with the black dial. By the time I had the opportunity to buy it, I would have taken either. I really like them both.

Now that I have the black I find it slightly more versatile than the white. Both 116500 dials are significantly more sporty than the 116520 IMO. The white dial however looks IMO almost entirely sporty. The black dial gives provides a little bit more a dual roll to play. Obviously sporty but can dress up a little better than the white.

I asked for black. But when they brought it out, it was white. So White it is.

To offset it, I switched my white dial 116520 back to its original color, black.

I assume most people just get the one AD has, hard to be picky when this is so popular

I think that we should be picky. Availability aside, you would be spending $12,400 USD. Get the one that you want most.

I loved the black in person but white is what I wanted from seeing photos and white is what I got when I got to handle it in person :-)
