Well got a few vintage Seiko, but the one that has spent most time
underwater in a diving environment, is my trusty Citizen Aqua-land 11.
The other a 78 SD 1665.

No Mamas the SD 1665 and 6263 belonged to my Father, they are my most treasured possessions, and would never part with them.I have another SD 16660 that I bought new in Singapore in 2000.But like you like the old vintage stuff the best,my most worn watch now, is my £5 boot sale Rolex Unicorn.

Excellent, George. Flawless selection of a dive watch (IMHO), and the dial on your DJ is yummy!

I asked the price he wanted £5, so I swiftly gave him £5 for the watch. And thought I will have a have a proper look when I get home, and after a good clean.Lovely little 15 jewel movement, marked Unicorn watch, all running, and inside the caseback JUST what I hoped to see," Rolex Watch Company".Silver hallmark dates case to 1921.

Silver case Unicorn 1921.

Movement excuse picture only a scan.

This one is almost a twin to the Unicorn, different hands. But case
hallmark 1924,and movement signed Rolex, but they look the same 15 jewel movement, other than says adjusted.

1924 H/mark case Paul Perregaux 17 Jewel. The inventor of the twin lock a screwed stem system crown, Swiss patent in 1925
Hans Wilsdorf of Rolex grasped that a hermetically sealed case, together with careful fitting of the crystal and a special stem mechanism, would produce a better water proof wristwatch. He quickly negotiated to have the Perregaux patent assigned to him. Wilsdorf then obtained a British patent on October 18 1926,Then Rolex Oyster was born and became a commercial success.. In 1927, a stenographer, Mercedes Gleitze, swam the English Channel with the unheard of accompaniment of a wristwatch –the Rolex Oyster— on her wrist for the entire 15 hour, 15 minute, swim

Excuse picture only a scan

Paul Perregaux patent screwed stem system 1925,which Hans Wilsdorf of Rolex aquirerd,to make the first oyster cased Rolex.

To the extent that I dive (never been down more than 20 ft), this is my dive watch:

I really can't decide among these as my favorite dress watches:

or one of these:

Sunday best, potter-round-the-house and dive watches. The Tudor's awaiting an oyster bracelet - I've decided that the strap's not really my style after all.

One of these days I'll have to find the time to take some better photos.

Have you tried adding a deployment clasp to the strap makes a big difference.

Nah, Peter, I like bracelets because I can get them wet (washing hands, dishes and giving the watches a scrub in the shower) without worrying about it. The strap just bugs me because at the rate I'm going, it's going to start stinking sooner or later.
