Are the Datejust 16000 & 16030 the same watch ?

Hi friends. I wonder if both referencies are for the same kind of watch or there are any diferencies between this models. Honestly, for me is the same watch. I cant realize. Thank for your help. Best regards. Javier

Same base chassis but 16000 is smooth bezel, 16010 fluted & 16030 machine turned style afaik... but not unknown for them to be mixed around at point of retail.

Ok, but I have seen on google images many 16000 with fluted bezel....so what happened ? people changed the bezels by their own...

Indeed so - dealers usually. Surplus bezels are commonly generated when dealers fit after-set diamond bezels onto watches, so there are plenty of genuine spares knocking around the trade.

3035 calibre, acrylic glass 16000 left Geneva with a plain, polished bezel, period. Its direct descendant was the 16200 with 3135 calibre movement and synthetic sapphire glass, then the 116200 with fatter case and upgraded bracelets.

As above, 16030 left with an engine-turned bezel. The 16220 replaced it with 3135 / sapphire glass, but no variant was carried over into the 116xxx generation.

16014 left with a fluted, white metal (18k) bezel. This became the 16234 and then 116234.

In the UK at least, the 16000 is not a common watch compared with all others described above.

FYI, my '82 16014 has a jubilee bracelet.

My friend's 16000 has an oyster bracelet.

That is entirely coincidental and not defined by the model number of the watch head. The 78360 Oyster and 62510 Jubilee were simultaneously offered as options on both watches, the Jubilee being marginally more expensive in either instance.
