I really really admire that watch. It's a shame it's unavailable in the States.

You are correct. I e-mailed them yesterday after posting and had a reply this morning confirming in-store sales only. Bummer.

waiting time and price
I checked on my waiting time. I put myself on the list on July 6th (actually, I only said I'd like t go see it, once they have a model available - apparently that's the same as "yes, you're next" ) and got the call on September 21st, so a good 3.5 month wait. Bearable, I'd say.
Official price in CHF is 3'800.-. When I compare that to chuey38's 2860.- GBP at today's exchange rate, that's CHF 3'669.-, so it looks like he got a slightly better deal (assuming sales tax is included). The watch is definitely worth the wait and the price. I am loving how dressy it looks (I guess the "royal" colors of blue and "gold" have that effect) and also the 70 hour power reserve. When I take it off on Friday evening (I usually wear another watch on the Weekend), I don't have to set the time or wind it on Monday morning. |

Its a collect only in store piece. I know of someone who managed to get one paid for it and arranged posting only to be told that he had to go to the London store to collect it.

Congrats. I enquired about this with a few Bucherer stores last week. Where is the London store?
