Black Widow...??

Just want to share this interesting story today with my lady client...

She was wearing the new 50 Year Anniversary Sea Dweller.....

I compliment her watch......

She told me would you like to see the black widow close up....

I like what you mean.....

She took off the watch and hand it to me so I could see it and try it on.....

She call it a Black Widow.....!!!

Now that a lady you don't mess with.....

I can safely reassure everyOne on the TRF , 4.5 billion people in Asia will not refer the SD43/50 by that label .That's a taboo nickname !

I like the watch, I like the pictures, I like the matching red/black theme on the spider and the watch.

I hate the name for that watch.

It has a negative, dark connotation undeserving for a beautiful watch like that. The word 'widow' in a watch name?

I prefer the SD43 over SD50. Sure, this year is the 50th and this release is anniversary, but is it going to stop? If they change the red lettering to white lettering, watches produced in three years from now, are they going to be referred to as 'SD50'? What is significance of '50' in that case?

I think SD43 is a beautiful name for a beautiful watch.
