Day-Date Authenticity Help

Hoping the experts in the forum could help a friend of mine. He saw my Sub and asked if I could tell if his Day-Date he received (passed down in his family) is real.

Told him I don't know, but I'll see if anyone here would know.

If not, no worries. I can take it over to my AD. Hopefully, when picking up my Hulk (when it arrives). :)

Please let me know if additional pics are needed, and I can have him text them to me.

Thanks in advance for the help.

LOL. He sent them to me and when I went to upload them, it said that they were too large.

I'll resize them.

I didn’t think it was real but didn’t want to say for sure. It looks pretty beat up.

Thank you for the input

Beat up is fine, but the first thing that stands out right away is a day date is never stainless and gold, always all gold. And as for the quality, it's not even close to being a good copy. You can definitely without any hesitation tell your friend it's fake.

Supposedly AD's are not receiving them anytime soon. If your AD does get one jump on it!

Yea. That what the sales person I work with said, but she said that she would make a call tomorrow to see if she could get some additional info.

I'm not holding my breath.

Your friend's is a fake without a doubt.. I assume Crown Collection will chime in at some point on it. So you know box and papers mean nothing and in today's day and age it provides a false sense of security IMO.

Always buy the seller if not going to an AD
