How many watch changes? before you found your perfect daily wearer
Hiya,,,
I was just wondering how many watches people moved on before they found there perfect daily wearer?,,,, For me i had weddings and funerals covered with my 16013,,,,, Firstly i had the Gv Milguass,,, loved it as did my wife but really missed the date wheel and i also found it quite heavy on my 7in wrist so after a couple of months she went and after considering the Lvc Sub and a Blnr,,, i decided to go with a one year old Blnr with a full set and what seems now a less expensive price and i based picking the Blnr on its look as i have zero use for the complications except the date and intially i really loved this watch and i still think its a beautiful piece and then the little niggles started that were down to me,,like i felt the bezel insert sat too high and i seemed to keep knocking it and i really started to feel that it suited a younger person instead of an knackered old 53yr old,,,,, A trip to Holland and a quick stop in Gassen is when i saw the dj2,,,blue dial,,,batons,,,,wg bezel on oyster and before i landed the Blnr was on her way out and after this " chopping and changing" i finally found the perfect daily and recently recieved a replacement dj2,, exact same spec but 4 years newer then my last dj2 which had a problem hence the newer replacement dj2,,,,,,, So a Milguass, a Blnr and finally a dj2 so all great on my 3rd watch which i imagine will be a low amount compared to some on trf,,,,, Thanks for reading,,jay |

I don't have a daily wearer.
I have about 7 main watches that I rotate once a week for about 5 days, then around 7 that I wear for a couple of days to fill out the week. |

I don't have a perfect daily wearer since there are so many variables that go into my day. What I am wearing, who I am meeting and what kind of mood I'm in tend to dictate what I put on my wrist each morning. I find myself gravitating to the Daytona the most since it's so versatile, but I usually rotate everything in at least once per week.

I have recently been changed my view on what I'll wear for a Daily. I went through most of Rolex's offering including 5 series GMT, EXPII, DJ, Sub, four series DD, Six series OP, Sub and DJII before the Sky D in SS came out. That was a significant upgrade for my collection and changed how I looked at Rolex watches. From there I decided to get a Daytona and a SD4K. Now I have really three daily wearers (the last mentioned) which vary depending on whimsy and activity. Most of my early watches I still have but their time is limited.

Rotate the rotation. Been through many watches over the years. For the first time in a long time I have not traded or bought anything in months. Sticking with a 4 watch rotation but mainly wear my Subs.

I’d say I’ve been through about 60-70 watches and some repeats for 6-8 times and still haven’t found it.i think I like the hunt more than the catch.prob never keep a watch.

I've never sold a watch
I wear based on a feeling and i probably won't ever sell any of my watches. I love them all and i only buy if it feels special and i just have to have it. |

I wish I had found mine earlier. I spent a lot of money trying to find it. My order went like this:
Tag Heuer Carrera Calibre 16 Omega Planet Ocean 42mm orange bezel Omega Seamaster 300 Master Co-Axial Retro Rolex YM 16622 Platinum Dial And the daily driver I’ve settled on is the Rolex 116710 BLNR. Love the watch. Rarely take it off. I added a YM 116622 blue dial and I use that as my dress watch.

Been through many as well. I’m not regretful on any moves I’ve made, as I’ve really had/have some beautiful pieces, and I’ve finally found 2/3 models that I consider my favorites. Tried rotating a collection between 5-6-8, etc....
Just recently I am trying to have a two watch rotation. Not sure how long that will stick, as I’m thinking 4 may be the magic number. I’ve landed on, what I consider, my perfect daily wearer. I’m liking the Mon-Fri watch and then variety on the weekend. (For now) |

I love my current collection but I can't say that I have found the "perfect" one just yet

When I had my DJ and BLNR, I thought a Sub C would be the perfect daily so I went for that. It does make an excellent daily and I wear it most of the days but the very small complaint (if I can even call it that) is that it looks too close to the BLNR. I don't think I'll flip it anytime soon but I'm not completely ruling it out either.

No Daily Wearer
Wear all of them in rotation depending on the kind of day I'm going to have and the mood I'm in. Life's too short to have a "Sunday Best".
