That Birks is awesome, literally two weeks ago I was dressed more casual and was treated with one word replies from some guy who looked like he was about to kick me out ... funny thing is had he worked even a little bit I would have probably bought something ...

Yes, that's why I prefer Brinkhaus or J. Vair. I will say that being in a mall those Birks employees probably put up with a lot of tire kickers so I can feel a bit for them.

Ok, let’s see... 43k Canadian crunches down to roughly 34k US, so I am guessing he ran off with an all gold sub or GMT?

Wow, that's insane! In Toronto I prefer to avoid AD's in malls (The Eaton Centre, especially). Not like they sell anything there I'm interested in anyway... Like most, I need to be around Bloor street to see anything (I consider) worthwhile.

Tire kickers or not, it's a shame any potential customer has to deal with the aftermath of this sort of thing. Having purchased from one of these mall AD's many years ago I regret not going to them in other locations. Also, being in places with a "man trap" make me feel a bit safer. It's also nice to be walking around with the watch on as you browse the case.

I really hope the police catch up with this clown VERY soon...

The trouble with that Birks is I have to walk by it everyday to grab lunch, so temptation leads me there once a quarter haha
Yeah it would be interesting to find out what he grabbed.
Last time I was there I don't remember seeing any GMTs
