Rolex vs Invicta.........Apples and oranges?
I understand there's virtually no comparison between the two watches in both quality and heritage. But I wonder, Invicta watches I'd say on average would be around $100-$500 price range. Obviously Rolex watches are much more expensive, but I wonder who makes more money at the end of the year? Invicta has shops all over the world including a huge store in the heart of Times Square. Invicta has the license for Disney and Marvel comics, dominates the shop at home network and just about every jewelery store in the country carries them. So I wonder, at the end of the day.....financially speaking, who is more successful? (Please, I know there will be some forum members anoyed buy this topic, but it's just something light hearted to discuss)

who is more successful is subjective... I'd rather run Rolex and get paid less, than run Invicta and get paid more.
I know you said financially, but that's how I see it |

There's a place in the world for Rolex and a place in the world for Invicta.

What do you mean "who makes more money"?
Profits? Revenue?

I would buy one of those Invicta cases.
If only it didn't say Invicta... Probably more likely to get stolen because of that text. |

The reason Invicta has any success is because it’s
virtually mimicking Rolex models and designs...!!! Without Rolex to copy from and other high end brands Invicta would be scheis , zero... I’ve now been burned on a number of occasions complementing someone on their nice watch thinking it was a Rolex only to find out it was a Invicta... disappointing to say the least. |

And had Invicta written on it... Then we would have a winner.

I was recently at a gathering with college friends, the host was wearing what I thought was a TT Sub. I almost said "nice watch" in front of everyone until I saw it was an Invicta!

You really have to wonder who buys the giant ones. They're not exactly cheap. A guy on youtube reviews them who must have spent thousands - Just mind boggling.
For $3000 this quartz beauty could be yours.

Curious. Is the overall contempt/ridicule towards the Invicta brand based on some sort of Rolex owner 'snob appeal' (or perhaps the case of random mistaken identity from a distance?). Granted Invictas are known to have lousy customer service, a 'copycat' Rolex design + the engraved 'Invicta' (on the rear of their SS sports models) is incredibly tacky. On the other hand, the Invicta is an affordable watch for many and all things considered, serves its purpose.

That is amazing. At least the name hulk makes sense for this monstrosity. Calling a 40mm watch hulk shows how badly people cling to whatever pop culture association they can make.
