It seems that many posters are suggesting that the YG DD gaudy bling suitable for a pimpin' and slinging dope. I see it as a conservative piece that happens to be gold. It's a classic. If you're interviewing for a professional position, then the watch will likely go unnoticed. I don't understand what seems like shame for owning/wearing a Gold Rolex particularly from a group of die-hards. I don't understand why some seem uncomfortable with a subtle (yes, subtle) success symbol. Personally, I want to hang out with people who are successful. Don't you? I'm curious about those who voted against wearing a YG DD and whether or not they owned a DD in any color. I've worn a DD since I graduated from college and, YES, it's just a watch, albeit a nice one, but it doesn't make me better looking, smarter, or more competent. It's just a thing that I enjoy. It won't get you or cost you the job. If you're confident, knowledgeable, articulate, and qualified, I believe that the watch you wear to the interview be it Timex or Rolex won't sway the hiring decision. Nobody gives a damn. |

I'm gonna go against the grain here and say yes, why not if it matches your outfit that day and is the piece you want to wear.
That said, there are two ways to wear a Rolex – or any nice watch, for that matter. You can blend it into your outfit and adapt it to your style so that it doesn't stand out too much or you can make like a used car salesman and roll your sleeves up or make an otherwise obvious attempt to show off your timepiece. Good luck at the interview. |

I would say if I’m the room interviewing to be an executive and you weren’t showy about it it’d probably be fine, but in most case maybe not the best idea.

I don't think the OP is interviewing for an entry level position. If that's the situation, the YG DD would be just fine.
Otherwise , I would skip as many have said. |
