I currently own a DD II and enjoy both the look and the feel of the watch.

Wow. Those are growing on me. That dark blue with the diamonds against the tattoo looks great. Some tremendous looking pieces.

I have the Platinum Daytona, which is very impressive,
now I have to add a platinum DD.
I believe then I have the most significant models from Rolex right ?

Once you have fallen for the platinum delusion, there is no way back.

I think signifigance is a highly subjective matter, but platinum delusion is one of the best dimensions to enjoy Rolex IMHO :D By adding a Platinum DD40 you can’t go wrong.

I enjoy certain watches most in certain situations, it creates significance to a watch IMO. I have already 3-4 significant ones and if significance is not starting to grow with some certain piece i might get rid of it :)

Platinum DD is the ultimate dress watch IMHO. I’m happy with my humble 18239, perhaps when one day will upgrade to a 18206 / 118206

Seriously, that’s “the one” watch. If I had that, that would be it. The baton lume filled hour markings are perfect.

Happy to add to this thread. Went on a quick walk today in the 80 degree weather in SoCal (this is winter??).

And the bracelet is incredibly comfortable.

Funny that I'm toying with the idea of adding a Platinum Daytona to my 118206

Brilliant dial. Are there actually 2 different "shades" of glacier blue working on the dial.....the diagonal diamonds vs the background.....or is that just what the sun does when it hits it?

For this particular glacier blue dial it always looks like there are 2 different "hues" or "tones" or "shades" of the actual glacier blue that differentiate the diamond from the backgreound?

To my untrained eye, it’s one color, but the etching on the dial gives it an appearance of a different color. It’s very dynamic.
