Sub 116610 Clasp - brush vs polished times?

I remember seeing a thread recently about the 116610 having a brushed vs polished clasp but searched and can’t find it.

What are the approximate timeframes and dates of the two? Which came first and how long has each been around? I’m trying to get an approximate year on my LVc.

Polished clasps started showing up early/mid 2016.

Take your stickers off!

Just got a SD4K C last November brand new from my
local AD ... last one they had in stock .
Has the brushed inside clasp ...
So you really can’t put a time frame on them unfortunately.

So the polished clasp is newer? My black Sub is January 2016 with brushed.

The stickers on that have been off forever but for some reason I let the case back one stay on.

But your SD4K was probs manufactured sometime in 2016 even though you didn't buy it until Nov 17

Probably ... I’m not sure how long the AD had it in stock.
My Bluesy Sub C was purchased NIB from my other
local AD in 6/15 by me and has the polished inside clasp .

So that's the earliest I've heard so far.

Yes I think 2015 was the earliest the polished inner
clasp came out ... I could be wrong but let’s see if
anyone else chimes in...

My black Sub with brushed clasp has purchase date of January 2016 so it could be one of the last brushed ones.

Bought my Sub from the AD in the shipping container in April 2016 and it has the polished clasp.

This probably doesn't help, but I purchased mine 8/2015 and the clasp is brushed.

I recall the other thread... I believe it was a phase in so no particular hard cut off of the sandblasted "blades" of the clasp. Plus no way to confirm if an AD had two sitting next to each other 1 polished 1 not and when they sold as the SS models were more plentiful back in 2015 / 2016.

But as my reference bought new in coffin (AD just received it) in Oct 2015 with sandblasted blades.

Another way to maybe help date it (if you don't have the warranty card with original purchase date) is the dial font. That changed also on the Subs particularly the depth rating font and spacing for "ft" and "m"
