GMT BLRO UK AD Discount?
Hi All
I've been becoming very tempted to pick up a BLRO. I've tried one on a few times over the past 18 moths and am now about ready to jump in. That said I'm concerned that I buy at the right price (to avoid a big depreciation trap). PM watches don't seem to shift so well and can hang about in AD's for a while. I know a grey BLRO can be picked up from various sellers here in the UK for between £21-23K. Personally I'd rather purchase from an AD and I know many will have the watch in stock for the list price of about £28K. My question is what kind of discount might I expect to be able to obtain at a UK AD for an 'in stock' BLRO? I know there answer for SS will be 0% but expect many will do something on a PM model. Thanks |

I just picked up my BLRO from a TS here. I didnt even ask my AD about one because I was in a trade situation, but I honestly don’t think an AD discount could come close to the grey market price of a great conditioned used one. The BLRO and the Smurf seem to share more than their white gold make up. Both of these awesome watches have terrible drops in value, but that’s great for us here!! Buy it right and you’ll have a great watch at a great price.

15% is not shocking and if you have a great relationship maybe even 20%

I'm in the states, so can't help much. But...I will add that this is a must have watch in my collection. Absolutely love it.
Do you have any kind of relationship with any of the AD's in your area? If so, that might help. |

I checked out this watch at an AD once. I believe sticker is about $38,000.
When I asked about the price, they said they can work something out for me, but hinting it will not be lower than $30,000. My guess is about 20% off. Sounds good, but I would rather saved another $7000 getting a slightly used one. |

10% discount is what I was offered on a PM Sub but almost 20% on a grey EU watch

Definitely absolutely buy gently used and save a fortune. That way you won’t lose too much should you decide to sell it at some stage.

It is so hard getting any Rolex with a discount in the UK. Unfair on the British!

Logic is not for cars, watches and flash clothes (why have got so many shoes (wife to me, not the other way around - "cause they're lovely and they were a bargin"!)). |

ADs usually discount the PMs a lot. I personally don't mind buying them used.

Sometimes, buying a new car at the right time can be a better deal than getting a gently used one. A lot of dealer and manufacturer incentives during holidays will bring a new car price very close to a used one that doesn't qualify for those incentives. |

I have a BLRO and a ‘Smurf’, both sourced new and unworn from ‘grey’ dealers in the UK at about 20/25% off RRP.
AD’s readily offered me 5/10% off the same watches.

I’m in the US so can’t help but it’s a fantastic piece. I don’t regret getting mine.
